Babies!!!!!!!!!!!!

~~SEXTUPLETS~~
You won't believe it, really, it's crazy! We love our goats and of course we think they are awesome, but seriously they are REALLY awesome!!! Our goat, Honey, had sextuplets- really 6 babies!!! We thought she had 3 in there and they just kept coming out!!! At three inthe morning, just after a bear was on the property and scared all my goats, Honey went into labor. She had 6 little babies, just 1 1/2 to 2 pounds each! They were like little kittens. Each one a different color, 4 girls and 2 boys! We had to createa separate pen in our goat area just for her and her babies so she could keep track of them all!!! What is more amazing is that she is taking care of ALL of them. She hasn't rejected even one! She even lets them all nurse, but we are giving bottles to 4 of them to help her out. Even our goats love big families!!!

Our other goats gave birth in april too. One even was kind enough to go into labor at dinner time so that my little sisters could watch through the barn window :) Apparently some of the other goats wanted to see what was going on too!!!

It's a GIRL !!!

Early Sunday morning, about 1 AM, our nubian dairy goat, Treasure, had a baby girl! She is a big baby, very strong and healthy. I got to help deliver her. Treasure was a nervous first time mom. She was not sure what was going on. Once we encouraged the baby to nurse, and held Treasure still, then they both figured it out.

She is for sale. She will be able to go to a new home at the end of April when she is 3 months old.

We also have 4 more goats that are pregnant and due in a month. There are going to be a lot of babies for sale!

Contact me if you are interested.

Thanks,
Sophie

New Additions

Last week I got two new goats from Mrs. Benlaki's farm. She has a huge nubian goat farm. The two goats I got are Morgan and Treasure. Treasure is pregnant and due in January. Morgan is little and I will breed her near Christmas. Now I have 6 goats!!! Three Nigerian Dwarfs and three Nubians.

This is Morgan on the LEFT and Treasure on the RIGHT.

Also my brothers, Jacob & Josiah, and my Dad and Mr. Johnson helped build a porch on our goat barn to help keep them dry on rainy days. My friend Corissa and I played with the goats all weekend.
